It a lawsuit filed against Jewelry Television earlier this year, in regards to wrongly showing the gemstone information and disclosing details, has reached a settlement with its consumers. The consumers had sued JTV, the on air Jewelry retailer, for selling treated Gemstone without fully disclosing it.
The Lawsuit was filed alleging that red and green andesine labradorite gemstone was advertised as natural and not as lab produced. Its a crime to showcase a particular Jewelry as natural while it has been lab produced.
On the other hand, Jewelry Television team keeps on denying these allegations saying there was nothing wrong in the presentation. It kept claiming that the representation is based on industry literature and information which they got from the suppliers and gemstone lab reports from national accredited labs.
The details of the settlement has not be disclosed, its believed that JTV ended up giving cash refunds and JTV store credits to the consumers. It is also believed from the online statement on settlement that JTV would have to educate the consumers and hence conduct trainings for JTV employees to ensure that this gemstone is properly marketed in future.

I’m shocked and extremely disappointed about the recent information I have read regarding “Andesine.” I purchased several hundreds of dollars worth of this “natural” stone, only to find out that these stones are not natural at all. I now probably have a whole lot of worthless stones (22 stones). Where do I go from here? I purchased the majority of my stones from both Direct Shopping Network, and JTV. I trusted these people. Do I need to hire a lawyer now? I feel nauseated.

I just found out about this TODAY. Fortunately, I did not purchase that many stones, maybe two or three stones.
In order to get the “refund,” one has to return the gemstones with documentation. It’s basically a crap shoot; if a lot of customers return the items, they could end up with mostly store credit.
Seriously? Why on earth would I want store credit from a company that lied to its customers?
So I can buy more bogus gems?
Gotta love those class action suits!

I have purchased many items from J.T.V….and been very pleased in the past…
I am sorry to hear of the problem with Andesine Labradorite…When I lost my Husband I had the solitaire removed from my Wedding ring..I replaced it with a 3 and 1/4 1/4 carat Red Andesine Labradorite Heart shaped stone..I thought it was not only symbolic of everlasting love but that it would be valuable…
What is the status ,now, of Andesine Labradorite?
Oplease advise…Thank You…
